Mason Scholarship Foundation Scholarships for Students in the Mason School District

The Mason Scholarship Foundation is a not-for-profit 501©3 organization founded by the Kiwanis Club of Mason in 1983. Dedicated to furthering higher education of students who live in the Mason School district. Our goal is to be in a financial position to award the scholarships in perpetuity through the Endowment Fund.

Student must reside in the Mason City School District or attend Mason High School.
Preference will be given to candidates who demonstrate commitment to community service, strong educational motivation, leadership skills through their activities in school, faith organizations, youth groups, volunteer efforts, and work experience.

Requirements to Apply:

NOTE: Two application categories are available

Students pursuing a four-year degree at an accredited university or college

  • $6,000 Scholarship – $1,500 per year, renewable for up to 4 years.
  • Minimum 2.5 cumulative GPA.
  • Grade transcripts
  • ACT or SAT score(s)
    Deadline is April 14, 2023

Students pursuing community college, technical, or certificate program

  • $2,000 Scholarship – $1,000 per year, renewable for up to 2 years.
  • Must provide a letter of recommendation.
  • Grade transcripts
    Deadline is August 1, 2023
