Annual Welding Scholarship

The welding industry field is an essential and fulfilling profession, and the demand for this trade is strong and getting stronger. The U.S. Department of Labor forecasts healthy growth in the neighborhood of 8 to 9 percent over the next decade. Jobs associated with building, rebuilding roads, bridges, water, and the power grid are expected to grow by double-digit percentages. And a career in engineering, welding, and associated fields is a financial demand. That’s why Assembly Supplies Co. offers an annual $500 scholarship to students working toward their goal of becoming an engineer or welder.

If you are currently enrolled, or will soon enroll in an engineering or welding program or a related field, then consider applying for the Assembly Supplies Co. annual welding scholarship. Our scholarship is available for students attending trade schools, community colleges, and four-year universities. Our welding scholarship can be the extra push that helps you accomplish or fulfill your goals!

Simply submit a 500-word essay that answers one of the three listed questions:
1. What skills are most important for a welder, and why?
2. How Has Process Heating Changed the Industrial World?
3. What are the four types of welding and which one is best, why?

Once a year, Assembly Supplies Co. will award a scholarship to the best welding or engineering essay, determined by our selected panel of judges. Our judges will review your submission, and the winner will be awarded a $500 scholarship, and their essay will be published on the Hot Air Blog.

How to Apply for the Welding Scholarship:
Write an original, 500-word essay that thoroughly answers one of the above three questions.

• Include your name, address, email, phone number, university, and year of graduation in the header of your essay.
• The essay must be original and be sure to proofread for proper spelling, grammar, and punctuation.
• Name your submission file firstname.lastname.scholarship and save it as a Word Document (e.g., firstname.lastname.scholarship.doc)
• Email your completed essay as an attachment to scholarships@hotairtools.com with “Welding Scholarship” in the subject line by our annual submission deadlines: December 31st, 2020
• The winner will be notified by phone (if one is provided) and email.
