Scholarship Opportunities for Success - Women Residents of Central Ohio

Over the last 17 years Scholarship Opportunities for Success has awarded more than 180 scholarships. Applications are accepted from adult women residents of Central Ohio who are living near the poverty level and are US citizens.

Individuals Eligible to Apply
1. Adult female residents of Central Ohio who are citizens of the United States
2. Women whose financial resources are at, near, or below poverty level.
3. Must have and maintain a 2.0 GPA or higher.
4. Must be enrolled in a not-for-profit, accredited institution or program.

Application Process
1. Complete the SOS application form. All information must be provided as requested.
2. Submit reference letters from two organizational representatives who know you and support this application. For example, a professor, counselor, spiritual advisor, supervisor, or a mentor. If applicable, a career counselor or job trainer but NOT a family member or personal friend. If you recently have participated in programs at a non-profit organization, one letter must be from this organization.
3. Provide a type written description of your career goals and current challenges or obstacles that you must overcome to obtain your educational goals for which this financial aid is requested. (Limit 2 pages)
4. Provide 1 example of a challenge that you have faced in the past with a brief type written description of how it was resolved. (1 page)
5. If employed, include copies of the last 2 months pay stubs.
6. Provide most recent College transcripts
