Scholarship and Loan Forgiveness Program for Automotive Technology Students/Graduates

The Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA) has created a scholarship program for current Automotive students, as well as a loan forgiveness program for graduates of an Automotive program that maintained a minimum 2.5 GPA when they were students. The requirements for the Automotive scholarship include:

  • Be a high school senior or 18 years of age at the time of submission.
  • U.S. or Canadian Citizen (permanent/legal residents are not eligible to apply).
  • Demonstrate passion for the automotive hobby and career.
  • Incoming freshmen or continued enrollment in college, university or post-secondary career and technology school in the United States or Canada.
  • Pursuit of degree or certification that leads to a career in automotive. All disciplines welcome.

What are the application requirements?

1. Upload unofficial transcript or technical training progress report.
2. Request an online recommendation from your teacher, employer or mentor.
3. Demonstrate passion for the automotive industry in your answers to select questions.
4. Write a statement of purpose and give us your best in 500 words or less.
