Scholarship for Financial Service Professionals

The Foundation for Financial Service Professionals is offering the Paul S. Mills Scholarship program for the upcoming 2019-20 school year. This program offers scholarships to students pursuing an undergraduate education in a financial service related field. This may include finance, accounting, insurance or risk management, actuarial sciences, and related fields of business.

Applicants for Paul S. Mills Scholarships must:

• Be United States citizens or legal residents living in one of the 50 U.S. states, the District of Columbia or U.S. Territories.
• Be a full or part-time student enrolled or accepted into an undergraduate college or university program.
• Be pursuing a course of study in a financial service field.
• Demonstrate financial need by submitting the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) or similar documentation of financial need.

Employees, members, or immediate family of employees or members of the Society of Financial Service Professionals and its local Chapters are not eligible.

To apply you must complete an application and write a short essay (500 words) describing why you wish to pursue an education in the financial service field and why the scholarship is important to you. You must also submit a FAFSA so that financial need can be evaluated. As part of the application process, applicants must agree to a brief phone interview by a member of the Society of Financial Service Professionals.

Applications must be submitted by 11:59 pm ET on March 30. All applicants will be notified of their status via e-mail no later than June 1. To read about the scholarship and complete an application, click the “Visit” button below.
