Miami Soil and Water Conservation District Scholarship - Agriculture and Natural Resources Majors

The Miami Soil and Water Conservation District is offering two $750 scholarship awards to Miami County, Ohio residents who are majoring in Agriculture or Natural Resources. The scholarships are for the purpose of continuing higher education at a two or four year college or university.

To qualify, students must:

  • Be a resident of Miami County, Ohio
  • Be enrolled in an Agriculture or Natural Resources major
  • Enroll in the Fall 2021 semester of the upcoming 2021-22 school year
  • Prior recipients of this scholarship may apply
  • Students may only receive the scholarship twice during their educational career

Students must complete the scholarship application AND include: 1) a college transcript, and 2) a one-page typewritten letter describing your background, attitudes towards conservation, and objectives and career plans for your educational program. Three letters of recommendation must also be separately submitted to the Scholarship Committee by references of the student’s choosing.

Completed applications must be postmarked by Friday, March 12, 2021 and mailed to the Scholarship Committee for the Miami SWCD Scholarship at the following address:
