ASHRAE Scholarships for High School Seniors in STEM

Four one-year $3,000 scholarships available to high school seniors about to enter full time into their first year of college in a pre-engineering, engineering, or engineering technology program leading to a bachelor’s degree in a course of study that traditionally has been a preparatory curriculum for the HVAC&R profession. Applicants must be high school seniors with a cumulative Grade Point Average (GPA) of at least 3.0 on a scale where 4.0 is the highest and/or a class standing of no less than the top 30% and accepted into an engineering, pre-engineering, or engineering technology program at a post-secondary educational institution.

Applications and the following documents must be submitted on or before the application deadline to receive consideration:

• Official transcript of grades. Transcript must either be mailed, sent through an online electronic transfer service, or directly from your registrar’s office on your behalf. Photocopies will not be accepted.
• Letter of admission to a post-secondary educational institution
• Three signed letters of recommendation as follows: one from an instructor or school advisor, one from a current or past employer, and one from another character reference (other than a family member).
