William Pearl and Mae Morgan Appalachian Heritage Scholarship

Established in May 1999 by Sam Morgan to honor the memory of his parents and to assist student of Appalachian heritage and financial need to achieve a college degree.

To be eligible for this scholarship, students must meet the following:

  • Minimum 3.0 GPA. GPA is not a factor for person with a GED or out of high school more than four years if they can demonstrate qualities of leadership
  • Enrolled in a degree or certificate program
  • Enrolled full-time
  • Financial need
  • Appalachian descent from Eastern Kentucky or West Virginia within the last three generations
