Dr. Jean I. Cook Scholarship

This scholarship was endowed in May 2019 to support students attending Sinclair Community College. It can be used towards tuition and fees, as well as required books purchased on the Sinclair Bookstore’s website during the Financial Aid Dates designated for book purchases each semester.

To be eligible, students must have maintained a cumulative 2.5 GPA. Preference is given to students in the following order:

• Students who are participating in Work-Based Learning opportunities (internships, apprenticeships, etc.)
• Low-income, nontraditional female students who are working to secure meaningful careers or break the cycle of poverty. These students may not be entering college directly from high school. They may be single parents or students seeking a change in career.
• Adult students entering college for the first time or returning to complete an interrupted education
• Non-citizen students (international students or children of immigrants)
