STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) fields are commonly known as fields dominated by men. But, why is that? Many believe that there’s a lack of visibility of female role models within STEM fields. Others believe women need to be encouraged to pursue career paths within STEM fields, starting from an early age.

Bridging the gender gap in STEM fields is top priority to many, which is why there are so many college scholarships specifically for women pursuing studies within STEM subjects.
